This album was released in 2013 and with the Peterborough/Cambridge-based church now in the process of mixing their second album a review of their debut is long overdue. Pretty impressive it is too. Judging from this set KingsGate has an abundance of musical talent and the singers, songwriters and worship leaders featured here are able to offer a wide range of modern worship songs which exude love of the King of Kings. Particularly strong is the anthemic pop rock opener "Freedom In Your Light" featuring Matt Cernik. Almost as strong is the surging midtempo "Remembering" sung by the album's producer Simon Benn and the haunting "Bow Before" sung by Rudy Cullen (the Kiwi soul jazz singer recently featured in Cross Rhythms). Possibly my favourite track here though is "Redeemed Restored" - a simple declaration of God winning our hearts sung by Keith Hammond. It's a hugely catchy call to worship that if it had appeared on a Soul Survivor or Worship Central album would today be being sung in half the churches in Britain. Clearly veteran singer/songwriter Hammond still has the ability to come up with memorable pop rock hooks.

Product Description
The first worship album from the KingsGate Community Church based in Peterborough.

Faithful features the perfect blend of original spontaneous and structured praise and worship music from the very talented members of KingsGate Community Church.

Recorded live in July 2013, the album reflects an exuberant outpouring of praise, with all 11 songs written by Kingsgate songwriters. Easy-to-sing melodies stand alongside strong anthems and quieter acoustic songs, with stand-out tracks Faithful and Bow Before.
