Readers with slightly better memories than mine might remember the review of the original 'Mighty Flood' demo (released under Kite's real name, Mike Allen). He's back, with a new name, new label and some new songs added to the re-recorded original. It's a real cracker. Quite a few of the tracks here (in particular the title track, "The Lord, The Lord" and "Jesus We Magnify") are top quality worship material, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them become church standards in a few years' time. "Carry me Home" is my favourite - the kind of singalong pop tune you end up with when rockers lay their hands on acoustic instruments and (for reference, check Primal Scream's "Moving On Up" - that sort of thing). As well as Kite's singing and songwriting techniques, this is also a good advert for the Miracle Concert Choir (featuring Junior Robinson and Maxine Nembhard) and the ace musicians and congregation of Riverside Vineyard (and if you happen to find yourself near Heathrow Airport on a Sunday, you might want to check them out)

Have often wondered what became of Kite. The mighty flood album was superb. I enquirer of Kite via Ian White some years ago but they'd lost contact. Any news would be most welcome.

I have the demo of Kite's Mighty Flood, bought at an Ian White concert many years ago. It would be good to get hold of the CD reviewed above. Can you tell me where I can purchase it from? My local Wesley Owen shop could not find it on their database.
