This isn't the UK soul-gospel man Mike Allen, who momentarily use the Kite moniker, recorded an album with Ian White's Little Misty company in 1996 then disappeared. This Kite are a band of pop rockers from Sweden. This debut actually came out in 2002 but hasonly now found its way to Cross Rhythms Towers. It certainly shows plenty of promise in the decent songs category. This Christian group are from the western part of Sweden and have been playing together since 1998. The opener "Silence Is Asleep" is as polished and rocking as anything in the Delirious? back catalogue. Lead singer Josef Tingbratt has a strong voice, which is well suited to their guitar-based pop. Thoughtful, faith-based lyrics permeate through every radio friendly song. If Martin Smith joined Nickelback, they would sound a lot like this. Let's hope they cut another album soon and don't fly away like the other Kite.

I read that Kite released their new album recently, an album
called "open" which tells me that they didn't "fly away like
the other kite". Will you review this album too later?
