Lindz West and his high-energy bunch of Manchester musicianaries has, down the years, become a truly top rate act, as well as today being possibly Britain's most affective communicators of Spiritual truth to the pupils of UK schools. After the mainstream pop chart success of "This Little Light" download single this 14 track set of bouncy, infectious and life-breathing tracks will be enthusiastically embraced both by school kids and older CCM devotees keen to hear accessible rhymes, contagious hooks, hip-hop, hip-pop and dance party-beats. "This Little Light" with its echoes of a hoary old Sunday school anthem is still effervescent fun and is still an encouragement for youth to let their light of faith shine over a grooving beat and hook. The album mixes engaging hip-hop freshness like "Come Alive" with Nic showcasing her vocals and bassline rumblers like "Superstar". There are some delicious R&B pieces like the catchy and guitar-lick-filled "Ditto" (with the message - what you sow you reap); there's synth-infused pop anthems like the inspired and worshipful "Greatest Day" and the gently grooving "You". If we're talking worship songs then the piano and drum-based ballad "Fall At Your Feet" is compelling and quite exquisite. If you're looking for those bouncy party tracks, they're here in abundance, with the hands-in-the-air club bangers "Dance This Night Away" and "Party Time". There's even a revisit to thebandwithnoname's "Four Points" on which LZ7 guested. Guests on 'Light' include Whisteljacket, Guvna B and Ad-Apt while two classy remixes of "This Little Light" give you value for money. An essential album.

Product Description

Despite having scored over 130,000 You Tube views of the video for This Little Light, LZ7 are more than a temporary internet sensation.

The song itself is surely the best bit of pop to come out of the Church in the last decade, full of bounce and upward energy, and points to even greater depths of creativity and mission.

Shine is full of their trademark songs of substance – delivered with more energy and excitement than ever. From bounce-ups designed to pump up the good feelings, to slower tracks that engage and inspire, LZ7’s latest album cannot fail to deliver.

The album comes after a summer-long campaign designed to raise the profile not just of LZ7 but of the underground movement of Christians dedicated to letting their faith shine. Shine Your Light has been encouraging young people to pledge – and then carry out –a set of simple tasks, and then film themselves in action and upload their videos to a main site.
