This beautiful young lady, under the ministry umbrella of the hugely popular Clint Brown, is another of the new wave of divas currently demonstrating that gospel is far from being all overweight matrons with 30 years of storefront church hollering behind them. LaRue has an excellent voice, not dissimilar to Yolanda Adams but without, thankfully, the latter's tendency to OTT histrionics. Despite track one starting with live audience noise, this is a studio project crisply produced by Ernest Collins and Todd Wilson. The material lyrically doesn't go too far beyond tried-and-tested paths (eg, the first three song titles - "Give Thanks", "Praise Party" and "I'll Bless Your Name") but if you're looking for a classy young songstress of consummate soul power, here's a talented contender.

My life hasn't been full of patience, and in finding the
spirit elivating ministries of LaRue Steward, I have found
the GLORY that GOD has instilled in me, Now I patiently
wait, as GOD opens the windows of heaven, and pours out HIS
blessings. I am "FREE", and I know GOD has pressed, to bless
me. AMEN
