Executive producers Norman Hobson and John McFarlane should take a well-deserved bow! The quality, atmospheric-sounding sessions recorded in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland blend into a mood-inspiring, Celtic production of world-class credit. Undoubtedly, I would place "Peace Be Still" in the top five of the UK's sacred releases of the year by a foreign artist. After international video fame from the Bill & Gloria Gaither "Homecoming" videos, comes this winsome offering from Southern Gospel tenor, Larry Ford. In my view, this new radical departure into Celtic folk territory, a la "Titanic" music mood, finds him in his best and fully matured colours. Claiming an Irish heritage, this is wonderfully restful, warm and edifying. Larry's crystal-clear vocal talent has found its inspiring niche, and could well continue in the same musical environs for years to come to great effect and blessing. Larry clearly weaves the newies penned by the likes of Stuart Townend and Paul Gardiner with timeless classics like "Here Is Love Vast As The Ocean" and "I Cannot Tell Why He Whom Angels Worship" plus ageless gems penned by Fanny Crosby, John Newton and others
