This is the second album from the Pennsylvania punk rockers, following on from 2005's high octane 'Resolve'. Delivering a mixture of punk rock styles à la Blink 182 and Relient K you'd be forgiven for immediately thinking you've heard this all before, but put aside any preconceived ideas you might have, steady that finger and don't hit the skip button! If you like your punk served straight-up, fast, punchy with strong melodies you won't be disappointed with items on the menu such as "Carry On" and the title track "Become What You Believe", however you'll also hear other rock influences such as the hardcore tinged "My Last Regret". Lyrically the band addresses the struggles of living out the Christian faith in their daily lives - nothing new in some respects, but they manage to keep things sounding fresh. Take "Wake Me Up" for example, "...Sometimes I feel like I'm lost, even though I'm standing on the map...I'm in your hands, so wake me before we get there." Bringing back memories of badly coiffured, cowboy booted rock stars "The Stand" is a cover of the 1983 classic by The Alarm and whilst keeping much to the original chorus the band has successfully blended in their modern punk sound. So you made it. Skip button avoided. Take a deep breath. Now, repeat/play.
