Reviewed by David Faulkner Leann is a member of the worship team at Glory Of Zion International, the Texas-based ministry headed up by preacher, author and prophet Chuck Pierce. To review this 2008 CD accurately requires that we separate out tracks two to 13 from tracks one, 14 and 15. Those central tracks are highly melodic pop, the sort that goes down well with a Saturday night TV audience. Some rock, some are power ballads. Production values are high, and the tunes are memorable. All have worshipful lyrics, though few would translate into use for congregational worship, functioning more as an account of Squier's spirituality. Nevertheless, I can imagine "Run To You" working well in some congregations. But those opening and closing tracks belong somewhere else. Track one is a cover of the Beatles' "Blackbird", and very imaginative it is, too. I just wonder what it's doing on an album that majors on personal devotion. I would love to hear a covers album by Squier, but it's out of place here. The final two tracks are spontaneous songs, complete with additional vocals from John Dickson, who recorded the fine album 'Maranooka' in 1993, and a word from Chuck Pierce himself.
