The family Stoodley strut their stuff on this five track offering. Mike's synth plays an integral part in the band, so much so that track one becomes more or less all his with "Mike's Groove No. 2". It's a good sound, and powerful playing too. "Passin' Thru" and "Furniture" take the sound into Mo-Dettes territory (remember their version of 'Paint It Black' a few years back?) and almost cultured Bananarama territory courtesy of rocking' Ruth. The sound is part alternative, part rock, part synth rock, but it's never dull. It's clear that they like the beat, rhythm and pace of power playing, however they can get over-complex, as you'll find on "Caesar's Galactic Wars". On the whole, it's a creditable effort. They've just come up to Yorkshire now after spending their early band life in the South - so, Northern clubs and churches, you'd better watch out, here's a band that takes no prisoners.
