I expect by now Lynda is fed up with people referring to her as the sister of her more famous brother Michael Tait, particularly as with a minimum of fuss Lynda has carved out a niche for herself as a performer of traditional black gospel with just a touch of Southern gospel. Her renditions of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", "Just As I Am" an "My Jesus I Love Thee" found here hardly break any new musical ground and no one would consider Lynda to be on a par with the Mahalia Jacksons and Shirley Caesars of the gospel world. But there's a warmth of phrasing in her interpretations of hymn evergreens and no doubt this 2015 album will go on blessing black church traditionalists and Southern gospel supporters long after some more slickly produced R&B gospel releases are forgotten.

Product Description
Gospel songstress Lynda Randle lends her rich, heartwarming vocals to some of the most cherished hymns of the church.

The voice that delivers such a powerful rendition of God on the Mountain takes us through the pages of the old hymnal with this all-new recording featuring 14 songs we all grew up singing.

Lynda’s straightforward, vulnerable delivery of songs like In the Garden, Sweet, Sweet Spirit, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, Near the Cross and other profound classics is a soothing reminder of the sovereignty of God that inspires a childlike faith in Him.
