Lynda is, of course, no stranger to Gaither Homecoming and other Southern or country-tinged gospel fans which is a strange thing to say about an African American old school gospel belter. This is a collection of some of Lynda's most memorable live performances, interspersed with chat-show style banter with Gloria Gaither. The two of them cover family life, being a parent, life on the road, mentoring and musical influences. But the singing is the main feature: 12 songs including previously released favourites "One Day At A Time", "God On The Mountain" and "I'm Free". They are all fairly relaxed and laid back, a style that suits Lynda's deep contralto voice. But there's not a great deal of variety in tempo or style to keep newcomers interested for long. It's fun to see her brother Michael Tait appear a couple of times though. However, the steady pace can sooth the soul, and the lyrics are always clear and precisely pronounced, and though they are quite simple, this form of trad gospel has the power to minister deeply.
