Using his earlier five-track EP as a foundation, the Birmingham-based reggae gospel man opens his full length account with this set released on his own Zenith Records. Biblical truths ring clear from the off as Lytie fuses his musical influences together, combining gospel and reggae most effectively in the track "The King", which has enjoyed some radio exposure. Thankfulness is a common theme throughout the record with references also often underlining the comfort that is found through his Christian faith. Lytie hits every note comfortably coming across vocally strong as he powers out a trademark gospel "ohhh-oooo" at the start of every song except a select few while deciding to fade out every track with no dedicated endings to be heard. A limiting factor is the amount of programmed backing music, with the arrangements often compromised but there's no stifling the sunny vibe. With a bigger budget and real backing band Lytie could come into his own.
