MTK, a rock worship band from Towyn, North Wales, start their third independent release with a quiet acoustic guitar-led track that builds wonderfully to the climatic chorus that would not be out of place on a Feeder or Athlete track. This sets the scene for this 11 track CD, a mixture of styles that has a base in solid rock but explores light and shade with some excellent song writing and production. From the soulful jazz of "How Great Is Your Love" through the straight rock of "Glory Fall" to the early Genesis/Marillion sound of the closing track "Chasing A Dream" there is something for everyone. The songs are a mix of refreshing worship with one or two more performance type tracks, but all lead closer to God and are musically satisfying. All in all a good album.

Three additional things should be mentioned:
1. This album is different from any other worship album I have heard -- in a very good way
2. The entirely anthemic 'Worship Prayer' from which the CD title is taken
3. The brilliantly summery 'Breathe', my favourite on the CD.
(Full disclosure: I did the album artwork, but I'm writing this as a fan.)
