If you're into your metal, you'll have noticed Mammuth already, for their radio hit "Embraced" in 2004. The 'Embraced EP' from which it is taken is a pre-cursor to album two, due in the autumn. Mammuth's is an intense and heavy sound, similar to American post-punk hardcore bands like Instruction or Breaking Benjamin, but their lyrical themes hardly match the medium. The chorus to "Embraced", "Saviour hold me close, hold me in your arms" sounds a little odd shouted. "Graceland" fares a little better, tackling the frustration of wrestling with sin, and the beauty of grace: "I want to change what I am." You can shout about that. I would tell you about track three, but it's in Swedish and I don't know how to get the necessary characters out of my keyboard. Suffice to say it rocks. Hard.
