Originally released in 1992, this offering from prolific Catholic singer Marilla Ness has been re-mastered and re-issued with five additional tracks and sees the Northern Irish songstress pay tribute to the Virgin Mary. Unfortunately, Marilla's work here has failed to stand the test and time and a general lack of variety in style and pace plus an almost constant wash of synth strings makes for a long and uneventful listen. Vocally and stylistically, Marilla seems to be most at home when dipping into country and western territory in the likes of "Bring Flowers Of The Rarest" and Dana's "Lady Of Knock" whilst tracks such as "Mary's Song" and "Gently She Carried" - both of which hone in on Mary as an humble servant of God instead of glorifying her as a deity - are the best of the bunch.
