Basically, a "same again" of my previous rave review of Manila's exquisite music. This CD, as the title implies, aims to communicate to wavering wayfarers the Lord's gentle, urgent call to return to Him. There are songs born of the Catholic charismatic renewal, some John Michael Talbot, Keith Green and Dave Bryant. Marilla has the rare gift of taking a semi-retired song like "Jesus Take Me As I Am" or "When I Feel The Touch", breathing fresh life into it and presenting it as a sparkling new instrument of flowing praise. Her talent, as well as a superb voice, is to remind us of the glory of simple beauty in music that's clearly intended to centralise Jesus. Fine instrumentation here, as on all her recordings, with arrangements that bring out the full splendour of the music. As one who rarely uses words like "anointing" and "ministry" (it's often the power of music y'know) such words are in order when it comes to this quality of album.

Dear Marilla,

"Come Back to Me", first in the form of audio cassette tape and then in CD, has been constantly in my ears for the past ten years. Every single song in it is true to my heart. They have soothed me and seen me through these difficult years - Your wonderful magical voice is most superb and uplifting to hear and listen - and I have wanted to thank you a trillion times... Words simply cannot say how grateful I am to you, dear Marilla. May the Creator bless you abundantly. Please keep up your good work and never stop singing.

With best wishes to you and all those who are dear to you,

Best Regards,
Michael Yeow
