The rather insipid cover design and album title do little to attract attention to this hour-long worship disc, which happens to be a wee gem. Featuring the vocals of Mark Williamson, one of the great voices of '80s UK CCM before he relocated to the USA. There's nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary about the song selection - they're all covers of generally popular worship hits composed mainly by British writers. Thus the names of Nathan Fellingham, Matt Redman, Robert Critchley, Chris Bowater and Lara Martin all appear in the writing credits. But what stands out is the quality of Mark's vocal delivery and that of the production. These are gently-flowing tunes - with a charming soul feel - not background muzak, but tender, ear-catching sounds that wash over the soul with soothing beauty and uplifting spirit. Williamson has a fine velvety voice which he sensitively applies to all tracks. Check, for example, his take of Critchley's "What A Faithful God" or the gorgeously soulful rendition of Godfrey Birtill's "When I Look At The Blood". The instrumentation is varied and fitting and comes largely from MW himself, aided by several session musicians in Brentwood, Tennessee, where this disc was put together. All in all, a great worship feast and at a reasonable price.
