If you buy this album you'll see the band's earlier name on the cover, The Good News Boys. Not a bad name to change, eh? These guys play good time gospel rock'n'roll. Forthcoming on from the long line of hardened Northern clubland ads, the duo sound a little like a certain radio pub singer rip off. But then they hit the button exactly. The great thing about rock'n'roll, late 50s style, is that it doesn't have to be about superb recording studios, great bass lines etc. The guys handle the tape muxh the same as they would a concert or worship place, live and with fun. The title track almost makes it but could do with a tighter arrangement. "Flying By The Seat" shows that the band is not without ideas in the lyrical department, while "Father's Love" is the obligatory Elvis style song. Well worth a listen
