What's wrong with the 80's? :) why should that be a 'shortcoming'? Surely that's falling into a 'preference' rather than being constructive on how well its put together? I don't like country and western but that doesn't mean that if I reviewed it then because its in the style of country and western that its a negative thing!? I'm fed up with nonsense reviewers that think they know what they're talking about but instead let their personal preference get in the way! I happen to like 80's music, but this album wouldn't fall into that category. Good album!!
Great album guys!
What about the song Revelation? like nothing heard before. King of hearts is my favourite, but that's not even mentioned in the review??
How can this album be compared to something 30 years ago? It's not even the same anyway. LISTEN TO IT!
I've listened to UFO stuff and struggle to find any similarity to the song You Are, or any other track come to think of it. I agree with Loobyloo, it's more like Linkin park style. Nothing like 80's.
A very confusing review if you ask me.
Nothing like 80's stuff. And let's not forget that some of these songs are designed to be sung in the curch....therefore, what is the problem with 'church terminology' as you put it? This album rocks!!!!!!
OMG! Is this reviewer even relevant?
Does this reviewer have anything other than 80's memorabilia in his CD collection?
More like Evanescence & Linlin' Park come to mind in some guitar riffs, like on 'You are'! And the ''hip hop' drum style on 'Your name'.
Did the reviewer listen to 'King of hearts'??
80's???
We have some songs in our church which try and be different with the lyrics and they often miss the whole point with what 'worship' really is and what we're saying. What's more they are often confusing in an attempt to be different. I mean '..heaven meets earth with a sloppy wet kiss' (think you know the song) doesn't help anyone get into a place of worship. What on earth is wrong with having lyrics which include scripture and words which we know that make worship easier and more powerful!? It's genius to combine these lyrics with rock! I do have to say that to call using words of scripture and words of this kind to be a short coming of 'church imagery' rather insulting.
