Recorded live at the Perfecting Church, Detroit, Michigan, the pastor of which happens to be a certain Marvin L Winans. This is nearly 54 minutes of cracking live gospel music. Most of the material was written by Marvin, he takes a fair slice of the leads (and the Pastor's pipes are on top form), but he doesn't hog the whole show. He allows the other soloists plenty of mic time too and some of them are very good indeed - two of the ladies, Norma McPherson on "Friends" and Lillie Washington on "It's Been So Long" have definite diva potential. Add to that a tight choir on top form with solid support from the band, plenty of live atmosphere and the end product is one that should not disappoint gospel music lovers.
