Better known for his Vineyard church contributions over the years this is the first solo project by the Cincinnati-based singer/songwriter who describes himself as ". a worshipper and a servant of the king." Kicking off the set we have the guitar riffing, drum pounding "Revelation", a call to a generation to "...singing loud! Giving all to Jesus." And this seems to set the theme for the whole CD which is a desire to see Jesus at the centre of every aspect of daily life such as on "Everything" and "Treasure". With a sound similar to that of Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, etc, this is definitely an impressive start to a solo career, even if at just over 36 minutes long 'Raise The Flag Again' is just a tad on the short side. Mind you Matt's desire to see his songs used and to encourage the personal and corporate worship experience are shown through the fact the CD has an enhanced section with chords and lyrics to all the songs. And the fact that Cross Rhythms radio have selected the songs "You Are" and "Treasure" shows the calibre of this album.
