This set, only Matt's second full album, momentarily topped Britain's contemporary chart, such is Matt's support base via the New Wine and Soul Survivor events. 'Passion For Your Name' thoroughly deserves its popularity for with this sparkling CD Matt fulfils all the potential demonstrated in his 'Wake Up My Soul' debut. The effect of Matt's light husky voice and Martin Smith's superlative production is utterly engaging. But a worship album is as good as its material and here there's some marvellous songs here ranging from repetitive groove songs ala Kevin Prosch poignantly expressive mid tempo songs and roots-influenced numbers (one of which even features a Wesley Brother on bluesy harmonica). The creative pinnacle for me was the closing "Better Is One Day", a dramatic, anthemic ballad which, like the whole album, pulls a listener out of armchair lethargy and into worship.
