Although the tide is changing with the growth of world music, it is a shame how we in English speaking countries often pass by artists whose native tongues are different (unless they present albums in English as well). This six-song taster EP from Mexico's Memo contains just three words in English (the title track) with the rest in Spanish. However, what we have here is radio friendly, well produced, hook heavy songs that will get the feet moving. The title track (featuring Ray Alonzo) can be found on You Tube along with the Bruno Mars-sounding "Nunca Me Fui" ("I Was Never") with views in the thousands. I especially enjoyed "Freeuecncia" ("Frequency") with its more than casual nod to '70s disco and "Prodigo" ("Prodigal") which will get you singing regardless of the language you speak! Recommended for those who want to broaden their musical boundaries or learn Spanish.
