Once you get past the scary-looking glam-rock woman on the front cover this is actually quite a smart little EP. Five well crafted power rock songs as a showcase for Michelle's strong vocal character. Michelle has written all the lyrics and the music has come from Michael S Tyrell and Derek Jan. Tyrell plays a mean rock guitar throughout, great chops and finger-slicing wiggly bits. Michelle's lyrics are powerful stuff too, emotional stories with a personal edge. "Mary, Mary" looks at Jesus' life from His mother's point of view and explores some of the anguish that she felt. Although this is now a few years old (it was recorded in Nashville in 1994), it is still a worthwhile buy for fans of the mainstream rock sound.
