Quite awe-inspiring to realise the depth of talent still present in Welsh music traditions. Pity that it seems a bit locked into a quite limited field of exposure, hopefully the fine range of Sain Records products can help remedy the situation. There's certainly a wealth of mature beauty in the current choral music, this album being a choice example of the beautifully tailored, skilfully moulded vocal sounds. The first song is the traditional spiritual "Where Shall I Be?" given a flowing, sensitive arrangement sensitively interpreted by the choir. The contents include Welsh hymns and songs, also the pleasant treat of songs from other bands. Fine renditions of "Finlandia" and Martin Shaw's "With A Voice Of Singing", standout in a consistently high quality set of music.
