Contemporary sounds from a three man band of Jewish believers, if you are familiar with the pulsating sounds of Lamb and Israel's Hope you're on the right track. Superb production skills from Rick Coghill of Lamb, great songs, aggressive musicianship and vocals from the threesome. As I remember writing about another Messianic tape, "these people had it first, and do it best." This music powerfully exalts the Lord, but makes a totally refreshing change from the unending volume of MOR praise offerings. Some tracks have a base of exciting dance rhythms, always with the spicy Jewish flavours that are so invigorating, "Yeshua Is he" is virtually all out Klezmer, so try dancing if you want to test your fitness. "Lord Of The World" is a sweet ballad, sweetly sung, part of the careful balancing of styles in evidence throughout the programme. Rightly categorised as contemporary though there's a strong praise and worship element, this is a fine set of highly polished music.
