Nathan Curtis has been working full time in ministry for over 13 years now with Britain's Glory House serving as music director, pastor and other roles besides. During that time he's obviously built up some great musical connections because this album features guest appearances from Noel Robinson, Tracey Cambell, Nu Colours' Faye Simpson and a whole load of other figures on the UK gospel scene. Nathan not only sings and produces the album but he also plays the keyboards and guitar too. Stylistically this has a bit of a retro-soul feel with a style that was prominent in the '80s and made stars of people like Luther Vandross and Alexander O'Neal. Some of the cuts are first rate. However, there is one very bad flaw in this CD - almost every single track features Nathan doing a talkover. Now the problem with spoken monologues is that, if it is not done with particular sensitivity, they turn out sounding more cheesy than a Camembert factory. A great shame as they drag the excellent vocal performances down.
