A largely instrumental album where vocals are often just incidental to the overall sound as in Amy Grant's "Find A Way". The instrumental arrangements sparkle with imaginative ideas and there's not a muzak cliche' in earshot. Arrangers Joe and Nathan Digesare have a talent for being able to change styles almost mid-number and make crafty use of creative chords to enliven a golden oldie or two including "Blessed Assurance". Kendrick should still be able to recognize "Oh, Lord Your Tenderness" which lends itself well to the moody bluesy type treatment with some good sax work and vocals by Marabeth Jordan. On "Lamb Of God" the Twila Paris song, the keyboards are reminiscent of Tom Howard while "Holy, Holy, Holy" has Vangelis overtones. It's a pity sleeve credits don't make it more obvious who's playing! A classy album, well worth getting one's hands on.

Has Nathan DiGesare done anything (CD wise) lately. I had his Scrimshaw tape and loved it. Would like more. Anyone know?
