Warning: Certified hit material. This single with four mixes is a definite hit. The lyrics seem to be inspired by the book of Ecclesiastes on this hard-hitting, yet slightly poignant look at the world. Neresa Maye, who has worked with artists such as Coolio & D-Ream, possesses a beautiful voice and carries the track with strength. The original version is a slice of classic R&B with definite old school influence. The beautiful Clique Soul remix fits in with the current atmosphere of "neo-soul" artists such as Sunshine Anderson, Jill Scott, etc, without ever losing originality. But not even the well executed UK garage of DJ MP's remix could overshadow the real gem here. The Mos Props remix is the quirky funk track you can blast from your speakers all summer, with a slightly minimal feel to allow Neresa's vocals to shine through. "Sometimes" is a definite summer hit, and as the press release says, "hunt for your copy!"
