Recorded live at a number of English worship conferences, the latest in a long line of New Wine releases sees material written and performed by the church movement's worship leaders - namely, Chris Sayburn, Chris Lawson Jones, Susie Woodbridge and Lauren Harris. Kicking off with a moody vocal from Lawson Jones on the driving "Light Of Your Love", this collection showcases New Wine's penchant for picking songwriters and singers with stacks of potential and giving them the opportunity to ply their trade in the security of a product that benefits from some skilful in-house musicianship and production. Without stretching too many modern worship boundaries, the folks at New Wine have nonetheless kept proceedings varied enough to maintain interest throughout and, with the obvious vocal skills of all four singers and a move towards some electronica elements in many of the songs, this release works well on every level. Thematically, there is an overriding message of hope through Christ ("Hope Is On The Horizon", "Unchanging Love" and "Strong God") and, whilst this collection might not offer up a song that instantly sticks in the memory, the fact that it works so well as an entity more than compensates.
