Newday 2005 was the New Frontiers youth event held in Nottingham last summer. Over 5,000 young people gathered to deepen their faith, get involved in social action - and to worship God. This release captures some of that live worship led by two of the UK's top worship musicians - Matt Redman and Paul Oakley - and one we've still to familiarise ourselves with - Simon Brading. The material featured here is new or very recent and the production once again is excellent. It may have been recorded at Notts County Football Stadium, but it sounds as good as any studio album, with the added dynamic of 5,000 worshippers joining in. Tracks include Matt Redman's 'All Over The World', 'Facedown' (sung by Simon Brading) and 'Dancing Generation'. Simon Brading also contributes his own compositions "I'm Alive" and "You Reign". Paul Oakley's "Ever Faithful God" is my favourite track, capturing the spirit of worship echoed by the thousands of voices in the background. A great live worship album, and an exciting glimpse of what you can expect at Newday 2006.
