Reviewed by Elizabeth Cook 'Still Here' is Nicola's debut single, which ministers about God's constant grace for his people. The Manchester-based singer/songwriter speaks of God's eternal presence when times get tough and there seems to be no way forward. Released by One In Christ Promotions, the CD is a combination of gospel and R&B, God's word and Nicola's words. There are three tracks on the EP, one of which is a weaker remix of "No, No, No," and all of which include a Biblical passage. Singing from personal experience, the EP is so strong it leaves you wanting to hear more. "Still Here" and "No, No, No" are sung with such heartfelt praise and adoration for the Lord, as a listener you are carried through the songs seamlessly. Born and raised in Cheshire, the 23 year old became a Christian at the tender age of nine, when she was singing in her church choir. By the age of 15 she was part of the regular worship team and even started her own dance group, God Said Dance. Nicola's singing background and musical influences certainly come through on these tracks. "No, No, No" in particular reminds me of the youth choir in the film Sister Act 2. An outstanding first release, which leaves you saying yes, yes, yes and expecting nothing more than a fantastic album to follow.
