The video was recorded at a Salvation Army hall in London, which explains the austere appearance of the stage and surround: the light show is low budget, but adequate. The video nevertheless is excellent. Noel Richards bashes out the songs in his own inimitable style, perhaps he was frightened by Cat Stevens when very young. This video will stir up any Christian that is non-comatose with its insistent message that we walk by faith, we are in a spiritual war but that Jesus is the Champion. Noel's performance is enhanced by the punchy young band that accompany him and positively amplified by the artistry of the ubiquitous Dave Fitzgerald, the bottleneck wizardry of Stuart Garrard, the UK's own Tome Noonan look-alike, and the magnificent backing vocals of Vanessa Freeman. I fire-damaged my Roget's Thesaurus looking for superlatives. I believe that this video has the potential to help in the wimp/warrior transformation job that God is seeking to achieve in these days.
