Nona Joyce Edeki's debut single is for charity and features three versions of the same song, labelled as reggae (though that really only describes the percussion), jazz (more like MOR, actually) and instrumental. It features a blinding sax player, Femi Ajayi; everything else is sequenced by Kulanen Ikyo. Nona has been singing in choirs for years, but occasionally you can hear that her voice is untrained. Some extra reverb might have disguised that. Beyond that, the song is infectious and has a melody that could easily cross over to white majority churches. However the testifying lyrics are crammed with the language of Zion. So it's a promising if flawed debut; put Nona Joyce with the right musical partners and mentors and she could flourish.

I was wondering recently how wonderful and glorious it would be if like minded christians across England and beyond , came together for the purpose of networking and sharpening one another's talents for the Kingdom!
Need to create the GIT (Get-in-touch) movement for christian artists! Let me know your tots all out there.

Shalom,

NJ

Many thanks David! I like your critic. I am open to any assistance and advice you'd have with respect to your suggestions; re - right musical partners and mentor. I am eager to improve greatly on my next project.
Shalom,
Nona J.
