Whilst it's always a thrill to have a copy of any of your recordings on an album, there is, in my book, always something more of a thrill in hearing your own compo­sitions being given an airing. This album sets out to give the best of both worlds. Firstly it shows just how professional the Normanton crew are at popular con­temporary praise and worship - "Come On And Cele­brate" and "You Laid Aside Your Majesty" being the outstanding efforts in the first onslaught; secondly, it is a vehicle for the songwriting talents of their own peo­ple. The outstanding track of this set is "Forever (A Wedding Song)", lyrically by far the best thing on the collection. It simply oozes love, care and commitment - both in the content and the expression. The song is written by musical director Derek Howell and Sarah Clark. Sarah Lacy's "Gethsemane" is another beauti­ful moment in an album certainly worthy of greater list-nership than purely people who know people who are involved with the Normanton team
