Whilst it's always a thrill to have a copy of any of your recordings on an album, there is, in my book, always something more of a thrill in hearing your own compositions being given an airing. This album sets out to give the best of both worlds. Firstly it shows just how professional the Normanton crew are at popular contemporary praise and worship - "Come On And Celebrate" and "You Laid Aside Your Majesty" being the outstanding efforts in the first onslaught; secondly, it is a vehicle for the songwriting talents of their own people. The outstanding track of this set is "Forever (A Wedding Song)", lyrically by far the best thing on the collection. It simply oozes love, care and commitment - both in the content and the expression. The song is written by musical director Derek Howell and Sarah Clark. Sarah Lacy's "Gethsemane" is another beautiful moment in an album certainly worthy of greater list-nership than purely people who know people who are involved with the Normanton team
