This is an unusual and distinctive album from City Of Peace Media. Hebrew and English are mixed, with ethnic-sounding and modern instrumentation (including some fine electric guitar work), in a set of worship songs based mainly on the Old Testament. Yet the Christian origins of the project are clear enough - there's an attractive version of the Lord's Prayer and a reflective prayer to the Holy Spirit ("Bo Ruach Elohim - Come Spirit Of God"). Jesus might not be mentioned by that name, but is welcomed towards the end of the album - "Baruch Haba Yeshua - Blessed Is He Who Comes, Yeshua", and there are many other references to "Yeshua", while "Son of David - Ben David" focuses clearly on the Messiah. There are many strong voices and some appealing harmonies, making an ideal album for reflective prayer (try for example "Elohim - And the Angels Sing" and "Kadosh Atah - You Are Holy". There's a fine appreciation of the Jewish origins of the Christian faith with a great respect for those traditions. The song that best represents the approach of the album is the second track "Hear O Israel - Sh'Ma Yisrael". If you're looking for a strong Messianic album, this is well worth considering.

Product Description
From the producers of the internationally acclaimed 'Adonai' comes a new series that brings together Jew and Gentile from the ends of the earth to worship as 'One New Man'.
For the first time ever, this ambitious series will seek to capture this powerful combined worship from every continent demonstrating God’s promise of peace as the children of covenant and grace join as one in the Messiah.
It all begins with Israel. Starting with the birthplace of Yeshua (Jesus) and the Body of Messiah, this very first 'One New Man Worship' project gathers the worship of both Jewish and Gentile believers (including Jew and Arab believers worshipping together) at the epicentre – the land of Israel – in a pivotal step toward real peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Includes international worship leaders Paul Wilbur, Karen Davis, Barry & Batya Segal, Chuck King and many more.
In the bonus DVD, pastor David Davis (of Israel’s Carmel Assembly) gives a powerful message on the One New Man from Jerusalem.
