The growth of Out Of Eden has been one of the delights of Christian music. From fresh-faced sibling teenagers they have turned into three young women capable of creating soulful pop with the tightest harmonies and 'No Turning Back' sees them developing lyrically and musically. As always Gotee recording are a family affair so it's no surprise to see contributions from the Katinas and GRITS on these tracks but the strength of this album is wrapped up in the girls' powerful R&B vocal performances on a pile of powerful pop moments. From the opening attack of 'Lookin' For Love' with its uncompromising message and the stirring search for more anointing 'Spirit Moves', it's clear that Out Of Eden haven't just gone up a level, they've taken the elevator to the penthouse suite! 'Here's My Heart' is a beautiful ballad spelling out the healing that God wants to perform inside. The song sees the band joining with labelmates The Katinas to form a temporary supergroup. Stunning stuff. Alongside such classy material, the taster song from the album 'If You Really Knew' which appeared on 'WOW 1999' now seems ordinary because there's so much good stuff here. Elsewhere 'Tomorrow' turns into a piece of groovy encouraging optimistic pop. 'Open Your Heart' is built around some beautiful acoustic guitar work and is sultry, summery and soulful. 'No Turning Back' in an explosive R&B rap infectious groove while the album closes on the downbeat intense 'Sarah Jane' which again only goes to confirm that these girls have grown up and 'No Turning Back' has much to say!
