Putting one of Nashville CCM's most talented singers (her dubstep-flavoured "Breakthrough" is, to my ears, a modern day classic) with pop-techno man Owl City was a brilliant idea. The duo have come up with one of the prettiest mid-tempo tracks I've heard for many a long day. "You're Not Alone" is essentially a worship song. After a confessional verse comes a surging chorus, "You rescue me and I believe/That God is love and he is all I need/From this day forth for all eternity." Deserving of massive mainstream radio play (which it won't get because of its lyric), this is a perfect pop single.
