'Love' is the fourth album and first studio release from the Auckland worship team and the result is breathtaking. Just a look at the song-writing credits alone reveals 10 different songsmiths and this diversity is expressed through a multitude of styles ranging from smooth R&B and poignant balladry to gospel-tinged dance and the odd bit of solid funk thrown in for good measure (check out "Inspired" and the opener "Getcha" as prime examples of the latter). On the whole, most of the songs are of a slow and more contemplative nature ("Emmanuel", "Your Love" and "Touch Me Lord" being standout tracks) and, having been expertly seasoned with the occasional up tempo number, there is an engaging freshness throughout. The raw talent revealed in the band's previous outings is still evident and sits comfortably with Wayne Huirua's slick production. This stunning expression of worship comes with a wholehearted recommendation.
