My father used to say "if church was like that, I'd go every week." This latest album from Louis Giglio's renowned student movement is the kind of thing that inspires such comments. Being able to call on such powerful worship ministries as Chris Tomlin and the gone-but-not-forgotten David Crowder Band ensures that 'White Flag' is able to maintain a fabulous high-energy guitar-driven feel punctuated by lower-key moments (but not so low as to ruin the feel: they're more power ballads like Christy Nockels' "Sing Along"). Although I didn't really know any of the songs, I felt I wanted to play some in church. The CD chugs along nicely and then goes up a gear as the David Crowder Band kick into "All This Glory" followed rapidly by Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman's "Lay Me Down". This CD (unlike many others I could mention) works well even if you weren't at this year's Passion event.

Product Description

The annual Passion Conference album was recorded live at Passion 2012. The event took place at its biggest venue yet, The Georgia Dome, after a sold out crowd of 22,000+ at 2011's Conference at Philips Arena.

The project features Chris Tomlin, David Crowder*Band (the band's final concert), Charlie Hall, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill and more. All-new songs were written specifically for Passion 2012.

The event raised over $3 million to assist in the fight to end modern-day slavery. Their efforts were featured on CNN and CNN Freedom Project.
