An updated sound from this well known worship leader and songwriter (he wrote the classic "Open The Eyes Of My Heart Lord"), but still a guitar-led style playing to his strength. Here it is neither the title track nor the much-plugged "Song Of Jabez" ("world beat percussion" and the odd Irish whistle) which brings the Texas audience to life. After seven vaguely atmospheric tracks it's the moment Paul strikes out into five-time and new tonal territory on "Sacrifice" that it takes off. Recent events have added poignancy to the call for "a prayer for our country", "We Humble Ourselves".
