Paul Baloche has been responsible for some of the great worship offerings poured out by churches across the world. This new collection will surely add to them. Recorded live at Community Christian Fellowship in Lindale, Texas, where he has served as worship leader for 18 years, the album has 14 tracks written or co-written by him. Brenton Brown, Lincoln Brewster and Matt Redman (duetting on a classic "I Cling To The Cross") make guest appearances, as does the timeless hymn "How Great Thou Art". The Baloche family gets involved as well with wife Rita and son David taking up backing vocal duties, and Rita co-leading on "You Gave Your Life Away". Standout tracks include "Only True God" where Kathryn Scott lifts us high in adoration of our heavenly Father, and "Hallelujah To My King" and "Great Redeemer" with their almost classical hymn lyrics. I also loved the extras on this package, which include a spontaneous prayer half way through by a Ugandan pastor who was attending church the day of the live recording, and, for all you budding worship leaders out there, lead sheets and guitar instructional videos for a number of the tracks. Another one to add to the growing number of essential worship CDs.
