This is another in the Worship Tools series of worship resources for worship leaders. This issue is based around eight songs from Paul Baloche's 2006 release 'A Greater Song'. The book includes "easy-to-play arrangements" of those songs, along with guitar chord charts and lyric sheets for use in church. The accompanying CD contains the songs - full versions and split trax. Also included is an instructional DVD, where Baloche gives insights into the inspiration for some of the songs and also how they fit into the worship service, eg, the opening song "Because Of Your Love" is recommended as a song to start a time of worship. Add to that the fact that you can see the guitar being played from multiple angles and there is also a drum cam and a keyboard cam. I can't really believe any worship leader will watch every single bit. Chord shapes appear on screen as the song is played. Without previously knowing any of these songs, co-written with people like Kendrick and Redman, after a brief scan through the DVD I managed to strum something that was at least recognisable as "Because Of Your Love" and was impressed that I had learnt some versions of chords I had never seen before! At £12 a volume (CR direct) this series, if used fully, could be worth every penny.
