The theme of this album by a Bolton-based youth worker and worship leader and some of his musical friends is peace so understandably most of the tracks here are slow and gentle. However, Paul points out that peace equates to confidence, not simply lack of noise. Each track celebrates how big God is and our relationship with him. Paul's clear tenor voice shines in each song, and his interesting lyrics shed new light on the Bible-based themes. He is sensitively backed by a small band and producer Joel Atkins helps sustain the mood of thoughtful tranquility. My favourites of the 10 tracks include "A Call To Return" which is a simple acoustic song with a theme of repentance which builds nicely as the drums and guitars enter to become a really accessible worship song; "Highway Of Holiness" with its pop-feel guitar riff; and "Every Beat Of My Heart" which has a bigger, more driving sound. "God Shine Forth" has more good lyrics and came out of a time of prayer for the persecuted Church. "Lead Me Home" is a re-working from his 2001 album 'Don't Fall Asleep', a suitable valedictory but with a rather pointless slow fade coda.
