Pesach Yosef (otherwise known as Phil Sharp) is the president of the Messianic Jewish Alliance Of Great Britain and runs a Messianic fellowship in Hove. The band he's using are possibly better known to non-Jewish readers as rock-gospel team No Bad Thing and they slot in nicely behind Pesach in a spirit-lifting set of messianic praise songs. Most are written by the singer though older readers may recognise one or two songs from the repertoire of Lamb. There's also some nice trumpet on "V'Shafachti" played by Raul D'Oliveira.

More of an easy listening/MOR sort of sound than your usual Messianic praise album. Nice stuff though, high on enjoyment, enthusiasm and panache. I believe this is a UK outfit, Pesach Yosef handles lead vocals/guitar with Chalutzim on backing vocals and conventional instruments. The songs follow familiar themes, with lyrics strongly emphasising Old Testament scriptures, mainly the Psalms and the Prophets. In places the voices seem a touch on the light side, with somewhat obvious musical arrangements and sounds. The tape appears to have a limited budget, overcome to some extent by the artists' hard work and dedication. Mainly original songs of a reasonable standard, and although the album's not quite equal to the very high standard of messianic music's finest, there's some solid fare on offer that's well worth a listen to.
