I wonder who music books like this are really meant for. My considerable experience of bands leads me to believe that those doing covers usually listen to the CD, rather than read notes from a book. That said, however, you will find this to be a good keyboard reduction (in as far as you can really transcribe a five piece rock band for piano and voice). I read the book as I listened to the CD - although you'll find the guitar chords there, not all of the solos are notated ("More Than A Thousand Words" was notably missing). Also the bass line is not fully catered for, but the basic framework is there. I think the ballads would probably work best - watch out for vocal ad libs if you want to sound like Petra. If you're a diehard Petra fan you'll love it, but since the lyrics are in the sleevenotes anyway, and the heavier rock numbers are unlikely to work in reduction, I don't know who else would be seriously interested. One plea to music publishers - I find trying to locate verses, da capos and codas positively infuriating. In case you'd ever wondered why musicians often copy, cut and paste their sheet music, that's why!
