Although I'm probably risking being stoned for saying so, Petraphonic is an album for die-hard Petra fans only. It's a collection of what are, in my opinion, the worst tracks they ever recorded. To be fair though, this album is a compilation of 'softer radio songs', so maybe that's why I don't like it. On second thoughts, maybe I simply don't like the fact that compilation albums are thinly disguised attempts to get more money from the music buying public... Tracks include "More Power To Ya", "First Love" and the 'bonus maxi-single' "Radio Daze". If you're into middle of the road AOR music then this very middle of the road album may find a good home in your car stereo -otherwise steer clear. Needless to say, the actual production of the album is very professional, but apart from that one redeeming factor, there isn't an awful lot to write home about. To cut a long review short, this is a middle of the road album with about as much edge as a pork sausage... Buy it if you must, but don't say I didn't warn you...
