Reviewed by Tricia Campbell The giant American smiles are upon us once again. Point Of Grace are friends. They'll chat to you over a cappuccino or offer comforting cliches while you weep into your Haagen Daas. They come from the world of US sitcoms, the product of middle America. So, expect flawless production, perfect, stirring, slick harmonies, inspirational lyrics and lots of trademark jangly guitars. "So what's new?" I hear you sanctified pop-pickers cry! Well, not much. There are a few new sounds. Someone's been listening to Crowded House ("Amazing"), Amy Grant ("Steady On") and Michael W Smith while he was writing their Disney anthem sound-a-like "The Wonder Of It All". Maybe it's because I'm young and merciless, but I got rather bored of this album. I love to hear something fresh and original, but despite the presence of some good pop songs, it did not blow my mind. The dedication to God, maturity, inspiration and talent is there, but the originality is not.
