Come November every sanctified dance fan should be off down to their local Christian bookstore demanding this one. For Preacha is Cameron Dante who any dance buff will know is the rapper/producer/deejay now with the World Wide Message Tribe. This throbbing, undulating, pulsating explosion of rhythm is everything you'd expect from a man who'd once hit the highspots with Bizarre Inc. Cuts to look out for? Try the ricocheting instrumental deep house groove "Torrential Pain", the sassy "All This Love I'm Giving" (with vocal from a righteous sister) or my fave-of-the-moment "Thank God" which after an intro tailor-made for his immensely popular Kiss FM radio show before it glides into a delightful groove under which shouts of praise waft. Listen out for it on your radios. In fact, there's hardly a duff track. The album is a concept work, tracing Cameron's spiritual journey to faith in Jesus. But where some concept works wallow under the weight of their own pretensions, this set consistently catches our ears before wrenching us onto the dancefloor. Another gem from the wonderfully consistent guys at Movation.
