Reviewed by Steve Best It's tempting when hearing about another talented teenage singer from across the pond to approach their debut album with some suspicion, but any preconceptions I may have had were instantly blown away by a 15 year old whose spectacular voice is as mature as that of someone twice that age. Producers Brown Bannister and Brent Bourgeois have gathered together the cream of CCM writing and performing talent - names such as Chris Eaton, Chris Rodriguez, Tommy Sims and Cindy Morgan appear regularly, and Lampa rises to the occasion, her voice proving versatile enough to sound equally at home on tracks as varied as the opening Eastern-tinged anthem "Day Of Freedom", the pop quickstep of "You Lift Me Up", the black gospel ballad "Blessed" - which builds to an ecstatic crescendo, or the irresistible dance groove of "Shaken", complete with Glenn Miller horns. It is on the ballads, however, where Rachael really shines, and there are a number several penned by Chris Eaton), in fine form. The real standout is the jaw-dropping closer "My Father's Heart", which uses the tune to the old hymn "My Song Is Love Unknown" for its chorus, to breathtaking effect. Extraordinary talent. Beautiful album.

Rachael Lampa is what you call amazing. Her singing is better than Stacie Orrico, Jaci Velasquez and Ana Laura combined. It's just plain amazing!!!
Her songs are quiet amazing too. From the latin beats of the title track to the lush orchestra on "Free", LIVE FOR YOU is such an oustanding debut. The CD also features the amazing hits "Day of Freedom", "Always Be My Home", "Blessed", "God Loves You", "You Lift Me Up", "Shaken" and "My Father's Heart".
